Annual King Fee Classic

Kofi Ankoma-Mensa (Aka King Fee) was a former basketball player who passed away with cancer in November of 2010. He played on various teams and in various tournaments such as: CIA/BOUNCE, team Ontario, in the Nike Tournament and Team Canada. One of Kofi’s dying wishes was to raise money for children suffering from cancer at sick kids hospital. Kofi was affected with a rare form of cancer, Mesothelioma of the small intestines, and was only 1 of 4 recorded cases in the world and 1 of 2 kids ever known to have it at that time. While being treated for this aggressive form of cancer, Kofi received treatment from various hospitals in Canada and the US but he was particularly moved by the level of care he received at Sick Kids. Unfortunately, God had other plans for Kofi and we lost him on November 15th, 2010. This year, we strive to meet our goal once again of $32,000 for two reasons: the first being we want to give sick kids as much money as possible and the second is that 32 was Kofi’s basketball jersey number so we only found it appropriate to honor him that way. We would love it if you can donate and/or pass this invitation along to friends, family or team interested in playing in the tournament to help Sick Kids. We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to all those who donated last year and those who helped with the tournament. Your assistance was greatly appreciated and we hope you can continue to help us in our cause! If you have any questions feel free to email us at [email protected] Thanks so much and have a blessed day!!!!
